So, What Does a Girly Mortician Do For Fun?

Scooting

They’re super fun and with roller coaster gas prices, they’re easy on the wallet too! I love scooters, especially my Skully Scoot-Scoot. With hot pink graphics customized for a girly mortician, my scooter and I commute back and forth to the funeral home all of the time, rain or shine. My husband and I have since started the Clearwater Scoot Crew (link opens in this window) to promote rider safety and motorcycle/scooter awareness. This a photo of Skully at work next to the hearse on carwash day.

The Royal Bastards Scooter Royale rally in Lake Tahoe was the BEST TIME EVER! Click here to partake in the festivities!

I Designed My Own Graphics!

Skiing / Snowboarding

Maybe it’s my Norwegian heritage, but I love being a snow bunny. I’m much better at skiing than snowboarding, but my incredible ski boards win hands-down when it comes to excitement! Often mistaken for “short skis” (a recent fad), my ski boards were made 12 years ago and the style has since been discontinued. They are great for tricks and skiing backward - always with a helmet, of course ;)

Traveling

My husband and I love to travel (this is a picture of us in Seattle). The best part is blowing into town, stirring up some trouble, and breezing off to the next destination. We are crazy about locally brewed beer (the Huckle Weizen at MJ Barleyhoppers in Lewiston, Idaho used to be my favorite until the new Riverport Brewery opened and introduced me to the Blonde Moment!) and “touristy” attractions. Whether you find us chasing seagulls in Seattle or chasing daylight in Miami, traveling is all about fun for the Jordans!

Classic Cars

I absolutely love my 1955 Mercury Monterey. I hope to one day restore her to her former glory. She’s very heavy and with no power steering, driving her keeps me strong :)

Horse Training & Taking Care of My Animals

Nothing can keep me from the thrills of horse training, not even threats of a coma and septicemia. I love working win horses and with 2 young draft horses, I have a lot of work under my belt. Maybe someday, my big black Percheron will pull a horse drawn hearse when I own a funeral home!

The

Trocar (our Jack Russell named after an embalming tool) greets our young Belgian draft horse named Hermann. The black one is Andromeda, our Percheron.

Nessie is our adorable Yorkie and Trocar is super hyperactive! (right)

Menagerie

I have 3 pet goats. Sven and Olie are the white twins and Siri is the pretty tri-colored goat. Sven hikes with me. He’s my pack goat. This is a photo of Siri with her cute 2006 babies.
